National Truck Driver Appreciation Week is an annual celebration and cornerstone program launched by the American Trucking Associations in 1988 to recognize and honor the vital contributions of truck drivers to our daily lives and the economy. 

Each September, Americans come together to show their gratitude for these hardworking men and women and their sacrifices, challenges, and commitment.

For the very first time, Hirschbach & John Christner Trucking joined from September 10 - 16, 2023 to celebrate the backbone of our organization: Our drivers.

Driver Recruiter, Jordan Coulson spent Driver Appreciation Week celebrating at our Kansas City terminal. She interviewed drivers for her TikTok account, where she shares with her followers an inside look at the Hirschbach experience.

OTR Driver, Cam, has been with Hirschbach for one month and driving professionally since 2020, but trucking is in his blood. "My brothers and sisters have CDLs, my uncles, my aunts, my cousins, all the way to my granddad. "

"Hirschbach is awesome. They help you in any type of way that they can, they give you everything that you need to be successful out here on the road. That's what I love about them; It's so employee-oriented." Cam knows that timing and the right partnership are everything. "My Driver Manager is the BEST! I love that man, he keeps me running."

Dedicated Driver, Mike, feels the love every day when he talks on the phone with his team. "They actually answer the phone with my name, and that's impressive." Mike left Hirschbach, but eventually returned, saying "I always loved this company. I went to work for [another] company and they promised all kinds of things, didn't get them. Here, I'm getting what I was promised."
