Wreaths Across America 2023: Driving to Remember, Honor, & Teach

December 21, 2023

Each December, we participate in Wreaths Across America with a mission to Remember the fallen, Honor those who serve, and Teach the next generation the value of freedom.

On Saturday, December 16th, thousands of volunteers came together to coordinate wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, and a record-breaking 4,225 locations in all 50 states.

Many of the drivers are military veterans and regard their truckload of these fresh wreaths as the most precious cargo they will transport in their careers.

This year, more than 3 million veterans' wreaths were placed by volunteers on the headstones of over 4,225 participating locations across the country. With each name said out loud, the volunteers paid their respects to our nation's heroes

In total, this year's mission included:
•    42 Intermodal
•    675 Truck/LTL
•    332 Carriers & Partners
•    4 loads Via Barge (HI, AK, Guam, & Puerto Rico)
•    8 Cross Docks

For us, this annual tradition brings our team members together in an effort of unparalleled unity.

7 of our veteran drivers volunteered their time to transport and lay wreaths at cemeteries across the country, representing Hirschbach & JCT with pride.

A special thank you to our drivers, staff, and families who volunteered their time to transport and lay wreaths at these locations:
