People might think about chocolates and candy when Valentine’s Day rolls around, but not those of us in the trucking industry.
Drivers spend a lot of time in their trucks and our whole team at Hirschbach wants to make sure they are staying safe and happy out on the road!
Here are five different ways to show love for your truck:

Hirschbach has partnered with Love’s to offer all our drivers access to Love’s TirePass program, which is an in-lane tire inflation and assessment service. Any time you want an accurate and convenient way to inspect and inflate your tires, visit one of Love’s Travel Stops across the country, available on the inside diesel lane.
- Regular Vehicle Maintenance
To make sure we don’t get sick, we go to the doctor for preventative medicine. To ensure nothing goes wrong with our trucks, we can take them to mechanics for regular vehicle maintenance. Make sure your brakes, fluids and headlight and taillights are all in tip-top shape!
- Emergency Kit
We never know when we will need an emergency kit, but that’s why they are so important. Whether we hit a long route of poor weather conditions or get a flat tire while out on the road, preparation is key to keeping both you and your truck safe.
Items to keep in an emergency kit include:
- Gallon of water
- Non-perishable foods
- First-Aid Kit
- Flashlight
- Multi-purpose tool
- Emergency Flares
- Jumper cables
- Chains

- Safe Driving
The best way to show our truck some love is to keep both our driver and the vehicle safe.
Here are some best practices:
- Clean off your vehicle when driving in snow
- Don’t drive while distracted
- Take breaks if drowsy
- Maintain a good following distance on the road
